Third
Flame
Portrait / third-flame
Third Flame are two people making the noise of a much bigger band. Nu-metal in the old sense: riffs, screams, and a chorus that turns a bad week into something you can throw your body at.
The Hard Road came first in 2023 and showed both sides at once, songs about being washed away and made holy sitting right next to Rock 'n' Roll Can Never Die. Then FEEL SO ALIVE arrived in 2025 and simply kicked the door in. Faith and fury in the same fist, which is more honest than either on its own.
Loud rock in the Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit tradition, for the workout, the pit and the drive with the windows down.
A Third Flame project by Lars Curfs.
Third Flame comes from the same place as Chi Rho Syndicate, just a lot louder. Same conviction, different volume.
The debut album is written as a conversion. At the start the band is living in the world with every bad habit that comes with it, and across the record they find Jesus and come out saved. By the end they are worshipping him with distorted guitars and screamed choruses, which some people find odd and I find completely natural.
That is really the whole point of this project. Worship does not have to be quiet or polite. You can do it from inside a hard rock record, at full volume. That is allowed.
